"I needed to sail my new boat 180nm to its new mooring in Hampshire and asked Chris to skipper the boat for this journey, with me as 1st mate and my brother for company.
I was impressed the minute Chris stepped onboard; safety first and Chris intuitively gauged our abilities, evaluated the boat, spent time discussing the journey and our expectations and made us feel completely at ease and confident about the journey ahead.
The journey did not pass without its incidents although none of these were attributable to Chris! I can sincerely say I learnt more in the few days sailing under Chris’ expertise than all my previous experiences combined.
So how do I sum up our experience? If you want a person who is an intelligent, knowledgeable sailor, who is practical, calm in a crisis (we had 1 or 2), funny and an absolute joy to sail with, I would recommend Chris.
